We are our own worst enemy

I truly don't believe that we as American people know what we want or need.  For example, Security vs Privacy.  Do we really want security?  Do we really need security?  Of course, we do.  The United States is a huge melting pot, in which, it seems anyone and everyone is welcome.  Okay, be that as it may but there are many people with an agenda that despise us as Americans and are going to any lengths to express and/or demonstrate their true feelings.  And they come over here in disguise.  True or not.  So, therefore, we are literally sleeping with the enemy.

Now we look to the CIA, FBI, Homeland Security, the President, the Military, the police dept, the fire dept and anyone else for protection.  We want these people to put their lives on the line for us when all we do is complain and try to tell them how to do their job.  There are just too many Edward Snowdens and George Zimmermans running around here shooting their mouths and guns off when they need to back off.  We are an extremely vulnerable country, especially now, thanks to people like Snowden.

When we elect and/or hire individuals into a particular office to ensure protection and security we don't get to tell them how to do it as if we know it all and are in charge.  We're sounding and acting like a bunch of adolecscents throwing a tantrum.  We talk just too much.  Our governement is extremely intelligent.  They are aware of the potential danger that we are in jeopardy of everyday and are going to any lengths to prevent and avoid another "911", Boston bombing, etc. so if that means monitoring phone lines, tracking license plates, etc, so be it.  I don't think we get to stipulate how they monitor anyone on US soil in any shape, fashion or form in order to insure our countrys' safety.

America, listen, we've got Snowden running all over the world, telling anyone who will listen all of our secrets and strategies.  Now we've got the nerve to have the very people who are in charge of protecting us explaining and devulging more secrets and strategies which should be private all because we don't approve of how we're being protected.  I fear, we're at the point where our enemies can just put down their weapons and take a load off.  Yes, they may as well sit back, have a coke and a smile and save face while watching us destroy our own hopes, dreams and ourselves as "We are our own worst enemy".
